Nicole Gomes
Chef Nicole Gomes boasts more than a few culinary titles: from Top Chef Canada All Stars Champion, to Finalist on Iron Chef Gauntlet, to the prized winning title of “Flay Slayer” on Beat Bobby Flay. Most recently, you can watch her on season 20 of Top Chef World All Stars. Nicole’s 28 years of culinary experience has taken her all around the globe from Vancouver to Paris and even to a naval base in Sydney. She credits her mom for her love of food and travel. With her Chinese and Portuguese heritage, it came as no surprise that she chose a career in the culinary world. For it is in those cultures, that food is not only about sustenance, it is connectedness; it is the focus of family. She is co-founder (Chief Chicken Officer) of Cluck n Cleaver in Calgary; where alongside her sister and co-founder Francine, they aim to bring tasty all natural made from scratch fried chicken & rotisserie chicken to the community, and at the same time, cultivate an inclusive and positive environment for their employees.
Kevin Conniff
Kevin is a classically trained pastry chef with 25 years of experience, and currently working as a Pastry Chef Instructor at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). He was recently featured on Food Network’s “Holiday Baking Championship”, Season 10, making it to the final episode with his masterful creations. He was the only Canadian contestant out of twelve bakers, showcasing the culinary talent that Calgary has to offer. Growing up in New York, he got his first job in a bakery as a dishwasher in 1992. He was instantly hooked, quickly learning the skills of the trade and developing a lifelong interest in the culinary arts. Today, his passion for entrepreneurship and unlimited creativity has helped him build a beloved chocolate company.
Ryan Massel
Ryan is the personality behind the multi award winning lifestyle blog immrfabulous.com, a freelance writer for WHERE Calgary, a creative contributor for Tourism Calgary and regularly occurring segment guest on Global where he focuses on sharing new and unique finds.
Also engaging on Instagram & TikTok as @immrfabulous, ‘Mr.Fab’ prides himself on sharing the first look at Calgarys recently opened restaurant and business as well as the cities hottest events.
When it comes to giving back, Ryan is active volunteer with number of Stampede committees and also donates thousands of hours each year consulting with brands as part of the LOVED. collection which creates original products that share stories from the LGBTQ+ community past, present and hopeful future.
Patricia Lau
Patricia Lau (aka Miss Foodie) is a food writer and blogger who is always seeking out delicious food experiences, locally and wherever her travels take her. Her passion for culinary adventures has resulted in many foodcations to Japan, Europe, as well as coast to coast across North America. In her home city, she has been keeping tabs on Calgary’s restaurant scene for well over a decade, often eating out and sharing her dining adventures on social media. She has also been a contributor to local food and lifestyle publications.
Manuel Panfili
Manuel Panfili became a Master Chef in 2013 in Rome, Italy. In his journey, he has had the honour to work with and learn from renowned chefs such as Alain Ducasse, Gordon Ramsay and Massimo Bottura.
Today, Manuel works at SAIT as a Chef Instructor where he shares his knowledge and experience as a mentor to the next generation of young chefs.
