The OH Ranch Branded Beef Youth Ambassador program was launched in the fall of 2023 and will provide a unique and lucrative opportunity for youth, ages 14-18, to become a part of the only program of its kind offered in Canada. With the implementation of this homegrown program, the Calgary Stampede and its supporters will facilitate this unique opportunity for youth to receive top-class agri-educational experiences which will assist in their growth and development to become leaders in the agriculture industry. This exciting new youth agriculture program will involve many facets of the Calgary Stampede team including the Calgary Stampede’s OH Ranch, the Livestock Competitions Committee, the long-standing Junior Steer Classic show as well as International Livestock Auctioneers competitors. Become an OH Ranch Branded Beef Youth Ambassador
Applications will open July 1, 2023
Applications have been extended to September 25th, 2023
Youth Ambassador applications will be open to all youth, ages 14-18 as of January 1, 2023.
Selected youth ambassadors will receive a steer calf from the OH Ranch in October 2023 to care for and bring back to show at the July 2024 Calgary Stampede’s Junior Steer Classic in a designated “OH Ranch Branded Beef” class.
No application fees or entry fees for youth.
Receive an honorarium for feed costs for the steer project.
Participate in beef industry focused educational sessions with industry leaders throughout the project year.
Compete for awards and prize money.
OH Ranch Branded Beef steer projects will be sold at auction at the conclusion of the Junior Steer Classic show. Proceeds from the sale will be shared with the youth and the scholarship fund.

YEAR-ROUND, HANDS-ON EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR YOUTH TO LEARN, GROW AND BECOME SUCCESSFUL LEADERS IN THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY.
$3,000 will support one youth ambassador’s steer calf project. This includes the steer calf and associated feed costs to raise the project.
OH Ranch Branded Beef supporters will receive benefits such as invitations to the kick-off event at the OH Ranch and calf selection, monthly updates from your assigned youth ambassador and VIP invitations to the 2024 Show and Auction Sale.
