Come and learn about the history of sheep in Alberta! Take a dive into current sheep production and the art of sheep shearing through demonstrations using both modern and antique hand-cranked tools, as well as demonstrations of sheep handling and trimming techniques. Breed displays of ewes, lambs and rams feature the most popular breeds in Alberta and can be seen.
The Sheep Showcase is presented by the Calgary Stampede Agri-Food Committee and the Calgary Stampede Sheep Sub-Committee.
