Farm Tours

Unfortunately, we will not be able to fulfill the Farm Tours program offer for the 2010 Calgary Stampede.

We do, however, host a wide range of agriculture programs and activities on Stampede Park throughout the Calgary Stampede. For those interested in connecting with local agriculture operators, we invite to you include one of these on-park offerings as part of your stay at the Calgary Stampede:

Beef Cattle Showcase & MNP Lounge - The 2010 showcase, located in the Agriculture Building, is a live animal display of beef cattle breeds, enhanced by informative displays about the breed and the exhibitor’s production program from July 9 thru 18. The MNP Lounge is the perfect place to meet local producers one-on-one (July 15-18) and learn about the local beef industry.

Horse Haven – In this area, you will discover horse breeds found throughout Alberta, and learn which activities these equine athletes are really good at. There’ll be 16 breeds on display at Horse Haven Stables, located at the north end of the Agriculture Barns, in an open western setting from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

International Guest Program - Located on the 2nd Floor of the centrally located Agriculture Building on Stampede Park, the International Room provides a relaxing and hospitable environment in which international visitors can enjoy some western hospitality and learn about Alberta's diverse agricultural economy. We would be pleased to pre-register you for this program if you are interested.

Agrium Ag-tivity in the City – The diversity of Alberta’s agriculture economy is on display in Ag-tivity in the City. With agriculture-related attractions and free, fun-packed activities and presentations, there’s something for everyone in this area, just south of the Stampede’s agriculture barns. Urban meets rural at Agrium Ag-tivity in the City, which is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and provides an informative and entertaining celebration of agriculture for young and old alike.

Agrium Barn Tours - Take a tour of the barn! Agrium Barn Tours are presented daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the Stampede. Barn tour guides take Stampede visitors on guided tours of the agricultural facilities and Agrium Ag-tivity in the City.

Thanks again for your interest in the agriculture programs at the Calgary Stampede. With over 45 events during the 10 days, we are confident we can deliver a sneak-peek into Alberta’s agriculture world right here at Stampede Park.
