Light Horse Presentations 2009

Discover horse breeds found throughout Alberta, and learn which activities these equine athletes are really good at.

There’ll be 16 breeds on display at Horse Haven Stables, located at the north end of the Agriculture Barns, in an open western fort setting from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

These light horse breeds can also be seen in action daily in demonstrations in the Big Top and Northern Lights Arena. Highlights include the Priefert Percheron Hitch, presenting an amazing demonstration of speed and agility, and the Arizona Mini Mystique, a 12-member miniature horse driving drill team performing to a lively musical score.

Kids will enjoy the activity book showcasing the breeds, and can take them home for colouring fun!
