International Youth Livestock Show 2009

International Youth Livestock Show
The International Youth Livestock Show is an engaging way to showcase the keen and knowledgeable custodians of the future of agriculture.
Competitors in the junior (ages 9 to 11), intermediate (12 to 14) and senior (15 to 20) age categories will compete for awards and nearly $30,000 in scholarships from July 6 through 12.
Young hopefuls can enter as many as six different disciplines — a youth marketing competition, a multi-species judging competition, heavy horse decorating, conformation (for beef and dairy cattle, heavy horse and sheep), showmanship (beef and dairy cattle, heavy horse and sheep) and a senior herdsman quiz.
Agricultural skills, knowledge and practical experience, as well as problem-solving, operational and entrepreneurial savvy, will all come to the forefront during this seven-day event.
