VINTAGE TRACTOR PULL
R U L E S & R E G U L A T I O N S
1. Tractors shall be farm stock model units, 1960 or older. Fuel of day shall be permitted where operator's manual specifies (ie. distillate, kerosene, water, gas). No power booster fuels or pressurized containers allowed (ie. propane, alcohol, aviation fuel). Motor R.P.M. to be factory +100 R.P.M. No override on governor allowed (ie. string, wire, rope, etc.).
2. Hoods are to remain on tractors.
3. Tractors must be painted, rust and dirt free.
4. Single tires ONLY permitted. No steel wheels may compete.
5. Additional weights must not at any time interfere with operator or controls or said tractor will be disqualified for that pull only.
6. Hitch height: MAXIMUM HEIGHT FROM THE GROUND TO THE TOP OF THE DRAW BAR SHALL BE 18 INCHES. Hitch height must be such that the tractor shall maintain stability at all times. This is interpreted to mean that the point of "draft" shall not exceed 18 inches.
7. There will be zero tolerance for alcohol.
8. For safety reasons there will be no passengers allowed on the tractors during the cavalcade to the Stampede grounds.
9. The winner of the class shall be determined by the total of all pulls combined. Ribbons will be presented up to and including third place in each class. Each contestant that participates in the Stampede Vintage Tractor Pull will receive an appreciation gift and a special invitation for two to a private Stampede breakfast in the Saddledome on Sunday, July 5th .
10. The contestant will be stopped if:
a. the two front wheels simultaneously leave the track six inches or more.
b. one front wheel leaves the track 12 inches or more.
c. due to an extended period of lift off track by front wheel(s), one wheel stops rotating.
d. Driver bounces, or is not on seat at all times.
When the tractors are backing up to hook onto the sled, the driver must raise both hands. When the tractor is finished pulling, they will be flagged to stop. A FIVE FOOT PENALTY WILL BE IMPOSED IF THE DRIVER DOES NOT STOP WHEN THE FLAG IS DROPPED.
11. Only the drivers and contest officials will be permitted in the track area during the actual competition.
12. Tractors will not be pre-staged in the arena and will only be allowed in the ring when it is their turn to pull.
13. The committee and the judges shall determine the setting deemed necessary for the day.
14. PLEASE NOTE:
a. De-clutching for shifting once contestant's pull has proceeded past the fair start mark is not permitted.
b. Vintage class for 1953-55 models may use shift-on-the-go assists if tractor is so equipped (ie. torque amplifier, hydra-shift). No declutching of master clutch allowed.
15. Three tries will be allowed to start the sled, providing the two first pulls do not exceed the fair start marker. The fair start mark shall be located exactly fifty feet from the start line.

Featherweight 1,000 to 3,999 3. 6,000 to 6,999
1. 4,000 to 4,999 4. 7,000 to 8,499
2. 5,000 to 5,999 5. 8,500 to 9,999
